River Irfon rapids above the Washpool
The River Irfon runs by the road between Abergwesyn and Llanwrtyd Wells
Somewhere near Cwm Irfon there is a big natural pool in the river called the Washpool, where drovers used to wash their sheep. It's a popular with swimmers when the weather is warm enough to counteract the icy river water. This waterfall is just above the pool.
